October 4, 2022 Today my paternal 2nd great-grandmother, Mary “Samantha” Reese Windell , would have been 156. This one has been a little confusing and I’m not sure that some of the information is correct. I’ll need to go to Kaufman to see if I can confirm some of the family. 4 OCT 1866 - Born in Kaufman, Kaufman, TX to Francis Frank Jefferson Reese , age 35 and Mary Ann Tudor Reese , who was 32. She was the seventh of ten children. On the 1900 census, her mother reported that nine of her ten children were living. I have found ten names but can’t verify them all. I am confident that these were her older siblings: William , Margaret “Maggie” Jane , Furney O . and Samuel F .  Someone on FamilySearch has listed a George Henderson born in 1863 that passed away in 1867 but there are no sources to verify this.
