Happy 105th birthday to John’s paternal grandmother, Erma Marie Pannell Little. 

19 DEC 1917 - Born in Randlett, Cotton, OK to Lemuel Mack Pannell, age 32 and Nellie Gray, who was 28. She was the third of three children. She had two older sisters named Juanita Fay and Clara Wynona.

7 MAR 1934 - Death of father, Lemuel Mack [Troup, Cherokee, TX].


9 JAN 1937 - Married Sinas Adron Little in Texas when he was 32 years old and she was 19 years old.


13 DEC 1937 - Birth of daughter, Gloria Ann [Jacksonville, Cherokee, TX].


1940 - Justice Precinct 3, Cherokee, TX.



Looks like they already had their own nursery at this time.

31 JUL 1976 - Death of husband, Sinas Adron, from respiratory arrest and pulmonary thrombosis at the age of 72 in Jacksonville, Cherokee, TX. They had been married 39 years.


14 JUL 1977 - Birth of fifth granddaughter, Paula Marie Thurman [Cherokee Co., TX].

John received this heart-shaped hoya after his grandmother passed away. Can you believe that we have kept it alive for 29 years!!! The leaves are not as heart-shaped as they once were but we are reminded of his grandmother and the plant legacy they had when we look at this plant.
