Happy 134th birthday to John’s maternal great-grandmother, Emma Jane McCary Bogan.


9 NOV 1888 - Born in Alexis, Cherokee, AL to George Pinkney Edwards McCary, age 28 and Margaret Jane Tindal McCary, age 27. She was the third of nine children. William Oscar and Alma Elizabeth were born before her.

1 DEC 1890 - Death of brother, William Oscar, at the age of 6 [Alexis, Cherokee, AL].

16 OCT 1891 - Birth of brother, Oscar Pinkney [Alexis, Cherokee, AL].

15 FEB 1894 - Birth of sister, Roxanna "Roxie" Agnes [Alexis, Cherokee, AL].
