My paternal great-grandfather, Randolph Dee “R.D.” Smith would have been 130 today.
16 SEP 1892 - Born in Heber Springs, Cleburne, AR to John Dawson Smith Jr., who was 38 and Martha Roena Josephine White Smith who was 28. He was the fifth of ten children. His older siblings were Martha Etter, John Lewis, William Forest and Adolph.
25 APR 1895 - Birth of sister, Bertha Roena, [AR].
29 APR 1897 - Birth of sister, Minnie Mae, [Heber Springs, AR].
19 JUN 1898 - Birth of sister, Cora D., [Heber Springs, AR].
1900 - Residence - Valley, Cleburne, AR.
19 MAY 1901 - Birth of brother, Samuel H, [AR].
15 DEC 1905 - Birth and death of infant brother, Bogata Cemetery [Bogata, Red River County, TX].
11 DEC 1906 - Death of mother, Martha Roena Josephine, at the age of 42 [Midway, Red River Co., TX].
1910 - Residence - Justice Precinct 3, Red River, TX.
24 NOV 1912 - Married Margaret Lorene Windell, in Red River, TX when they were both 20 years old.
31 OCT 1914 - Birth of daughter, Kathryne Viola [Bagwell, Red River, TX]. This was my paternal grandmother.
17 JUL 1915 - Death of sister, Martha Etter [Red River County, TX].
3 MAY 1916 - Birth of son, Guy Austin [Red River, TX].
28 OCT 1918 - Birth of son, Raymond Lynn [Detroit, Red River, TX].
30 APR 1920 - Death of sister, Cora D. [Bogata, Red River, TX].
1920 - Residence - Justice Precinct 3, Red River, TX.
27 DEC 1921 - Death of wife, Margaret Lorene, at the age of 29 [Deport, Lamar, TX]. I am unsure of what caused her early death. They had been married nine years.
After Margaret’s death, Randolph’s sister, Minnie, took Kathryne into her home and raised her. He kept the two boys with him.
5 DEC 1924 - Married Winnie Flippo [Red River County, TX] when he was 32 and she was 16.
1 APR 1926 - Birth of daughter, Billie Jane [TX].
22 DEC 1927 - Birth of son, Johnnie Dee [OK].
1930 - Residence - Muncrief, McClain, OK.
7 JAN 1929 - Birth of daughter, Pearl Aileen [Purcell, McClain, OK].
27 AUG 1930 - Birth of son, Ralph Randolph [Purcell, McClain, OK].

20 NOV 1968 - Passed away at the age of 76 [Purcell, McClain, OK]. They had been married 43 years.
