LEMUEL MACK PANNELL 1885 - 1934

Today, John's paternal great-grandfather, Lemuel Mack Pannell, would have been 137 years old.

6 MAY 1885 - Born in Alpine, Clark, AR to Richard Luke Pannell who was 31 and Nancy Robenia Robertson Pannell who was 18. He was the 1st of 13 children. 

This one has been more challenging to research as there is not a lot of information available and I haven’t been able to ask John’s aunt about her grandfather. A family member told me that he had not been talked about so I’m not sure if that means there is a reason behind that or not. I try to be careful and respectful when writing about family and I am just trying to document details of the person’s life for future generations.


In the 1900 census it says that Nancy had given birth to 10 children and that six were living at that time. In the 1910 census it says that they had 13 children and seven were living at that time. In the timeline below I have listed the children I have found on the census and on Findagrave.com.

 

23 FEB 1887 - Birth of sister, Millie Ola [AR].


5 NOV 1889 - Birth of sister, Arenia Margaret [Alpine, Clark, AR].


OCT 1893 - Birth of brother, Latamore [AR]. He is listed on the 1900 census but not after that. Still researching what happened to him.


11 SEP 1896 - Birth of brother, William Robertson [AR].


8 SEP 1899 - Birth of sister, Jalie Sevella [Alpine, Clark, AR].


1900 - Residence - Alpine, Clark, AR.



6 JUN 1903 - Birth of sister, Jettie Emmer [AR].


8 NOV 1909 - Birth of brother, Raymond Lafayette “Fay” [Temple, OK].


1910 - Residence - Texas township, Comanche, OK.



1911 - Married Nellie Gray in Texas when he was 26 years old and she was 22.

14 NOV 1912 - Birth of daughter, Juanita Fay [OK].


21 APR 1916 - Birth of daughter, Clara Wynona [Randlett, Cotton, OK].


19 DEC 1917 - Birth of daughter, Erma Marie [Randlett, Cotton, OK]. This is John’s grandmother.


1920 - Residence - Jefferson, Cotton, OK. 



1930 - Residence - Precinct 5, Cherokee, TX.



20 FEB 1933 - Death of father, Richard Luke Jasper Pannell in Wichita Falls, Wichita, TX at the age of 79 from a post operative illness.


9 JUN 1933 - Death of mother, Nancy Robenia Pannell in Homeplace, Cotton, OK at the age of 66.


7 MAR 1934 - Passed away from heart failure at the age of 48 in Troup, Cherokee, TX.



BURIAL: The death certificate says he was Troup, TX. Can’t find on Findagrave.
